The Economy, entry by entry

Every token, machine, concept and vault in the network, each on its own page and linked to the others wherever they connect. Start anywhere — every name you see is a doorway. Nothing here asks you to trust us; every address links to BaseScan so you can check.

If you want the story in order: it all starts with CEN, flows into the locked launch walls, through the endowment and its three-leg yield split, across the family, and out to the causes and the registry sink.

Last verified on-chain: 2026-10-15 (Base block 52653980). Figures are live-market; where a number would stale, the structure is described instead. Network structure only — nothing personal.

Tokens

The coins the network issues and backs.

CEN
The network's reserve token — everything in the economy starts here.
NST token
A dollar-backed receipt whose entire lending yield flows to the NST vault — a paycheck for the endowment, not a person.

Concepts

The ideas the machinery is built on — read these to understand the rest.

Locked launch walls
The twenty liquidity positions behind CEN, locked so they can never be pulled.
The endowment
Each endowment token holds a 1:1 claim on a real asset in Aave; the principal never leaves, only the yield moves.
The three-leg yield split
Every endowment's harvested yield is cut into three equal legs: compound, family, give.
The family (pro-rata)
The whole network is one family; LEG 2 is shared across every member in proportion to what they hold.
The registry sink
The one-way address where every family's impact units are retired forever — in, never out.

Machines

The on-chain engines that move yield and retire impact.

V3 holder-leg splitter
The pro-rata distributor that fans LEG 2 across the family, weighted by on-chain holdings.
HRT staking loop (archived)
Archived — an earlier CEN demand loop, superseded on 2026-10-15 by the simpler CEN staking (simple).
CEN staking (simple)
Stake CEN; any CEN sent to the contract splits pro-rata among whoever has staked.
ART burn family
Art cause · the one family that BURNS its units through an official burn instead of retiring.
PR24 burn family
Education cause · Polyraiders support, 2024 — one token = a kid helped. Retired forever.
PR25 burn family
Humanitarian cause · Polyraiders support — one token = a kid helped. Retired forever.
MGRO burn family
Environment cause · Treegens — each MGRO is a tokenized tree. Retired forever.
CHAR burn family
Environment cause · Biochar. Retired forever.
CCC burn family
Environment cause · Carbon Counting Coin — one token = one pound of CO2e. Retired forever.
MCO2 burn family
Environment cause · Moss Carbon Credit. Retired forever.
NCT burn family
Environment cause · Nature Carbon Tonne. Retired forever.
BCT burn family
Environment cause · Base Carbon Tonne. Retired forever.
TB01 burn family
Environment cause · Touch Butts 01 — one token = one cigarette butt cleaned up. Retired forever.
JCGWR burn family
Environment cause · Jimi Cohen Guinness World Record trees. Retired forever.
JLT-B23 burn family
Environment cause · Jasmine Energy renewable-energy credit, back-half 2023. Retired forever.
fJLT-F24 burn family
Environment cause · Jasmine Energy forward renewable-energy credit, front-half 2024. Retired forever.

Vaults

Standing positions that hold a share for the community.

NST vault
Send USDC in and it becomes permanent five-cause endowment principal; the principal's earnings buy CEN for the stakers.
CBI vault
Community income vault — accrues a share of network yield as community-held income.
MSV vault
Staffing vault — backs the network's running and staffing from its family share, not discretionary spend.

Causes

The five causes the network gives to, each in three asset flavors.

Art
The Art cause — three endowment tokens (USDC, WETH, cbBTC), each with a locked CEN wall.
Environment
The Environment cause — three endowment tokens plus most of the carbon and reforestation burn families.
Education
The Education cause — three endowment tokens, with the PR24 schools family routing to its drip.
Humanitarian
The Humanitarian cause — three endowment tokens, with the PR25 family routing to its drip.
Overhead
The Overhead cause — three endowment tokens funding the network's own upkeep, plus the CBI and MSV vaults.
